Oct 15 – Dec 7: Annual Enrollment Period (AEP/OEP)
Approved applications take effect January 1st.

• Enroll in a Part D Prescription Drug Plan

• Return to Original Medicare

• Enroll in a Medicare Advantage Plan
  (from Original Medicare A+B or another Advantage Plan with or without Rx)
  

Oct 15 – Feb 28 or Date on Letter of Discontinued Advantage Plan:
⚠️ Special Enrollment Period (SEP) if your plan is discontinued, secure coverage before December 31st or else you will return to Original Medicare and have no limit to what you pay for medical care or prescription drug coverage.

Oct 21 – Nov 20 (Colorado): PERA Care Group Medicare AEP

Jan 1 – Mar 31: Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (MAOEP)

Approved changes take effect the 1st of the month following application.

• Switch Advantage Plan to Advantage Plan.
  (Advantage Plans without Rx can only select another Advantage without Rx)

• Return to Original Medicare from an Advantage Plan.

• Shop Medigap Rates

• You cannot join or change a stand-alone Rx plan.

• You cannot join an Advantage plan coming from Original Medicare during this time unless you qualify for a special election period.
